Since 2004, when the first electricity supply project to Vietnam was put into operation, by the end of 2017, the company had supplied a total of 33.578 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity to Vietnam; the ongoing first phase BOT project in Vietnam, known as the "Yongxin Project", is currently the largest power BOT project invested by Chinese enterprises in Vietnam and also the first power BOT project by Chinese enterprises in Vietnam, which has won recognition from the Vietnamese side for its high quality.

In addition to alleviating the tight electricity situation in Vietnam, the Southern Power Grid's cooperation with Vietnam has also brought more improvements to the local people's lives.
After the project is put into operation, it is expected that about 8 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity will effectively alleviate the power shortage in southern Vietnam each year, achieving complementary advantages of resources between the two countries, driving the upgrade of Vietnam's power industry, and providing new guarantees for Vietnam's economic development.
At the same time, the project actively undertakes corporate social responsibility, actively carries out charitable public welfare undertakings, supports donations and construction of local education and cultural facilities, and strives to create a harmonious external environment for project construction.
